Currently in the State of Nevada a Permanent Cosmetic Technician does not have to carry a license or take furthering education to stay up on the changes in the industry.  The State Legislature is looking into having all Permanent Cosmetic Technicians be Tested and Certified by one of the governing organizations of our industry, to ensure the publics safety. I have taken these steps to become Board Certified through the AAM although the state does not require it yet.  I scored in the top 5% of my Testing, Interview & Practicals.
